Wild Turkeys Screen Saver

You wouldn't know it, but wild turkeys are hiding in the wheat field.  You can hear them gobbling as the screen saver starts.  As the turkeys get used to you, they appear, one by one, eventually covering your screen.

If you haven't already, please read the Rules for BlackDog's Screen Savers.  Installation and uninstallation instructions are also here.

Click the animated wild turkey picture or here to download now.  You will be downloading a file named BD-wildturkeys.exe in case you forget.  Don't forget where you save the file!  (File size = 1.35 mb)

Unlike most of the screen savers on BlackDog, this one has a built-in sound of wild turkeys gobbling.  The screen saver resets every 3 minutes, so every 3 minutes, it'll gobble again.  If this drives you nuts, not to worry.  To mute the gobbling sound, go to your desktop settings, choose the screen saver tab, then click on the settings for this screen saver.  There you'll be able to check the "mute" option.  This option will come in handy particularly for people working in an office environment.

Note:  The screen saver files on BlackDog have been scanned for viruses and are virus-free.  If you think you got a computer virus from one of BlackDog's screen savers, you did not download the file from this site.

To run this screen saver you will need:
Windows 95+ operating systems only
256 color display (minimum)
16 mb RAM
This screen saver has been created in 16 bit color mode.

A few rules for the BlackDog's screen savers:
  1. Do not post these screen savers on any other website, newsgroup, or FTP for people to download.  If you do, people won't come to visit BlackDog themselves, the banner ads that pay for everything won't be displayed, and BlackDog won't be able to afford to give things away anymore.
  2. Please don't download the screen saver and then email the file to all your friends, either -- for the same reason.  Just give your friends the url of this web page and they can download it themselves just as easily as you can email it to them.
  3. Please do not link directly to the screen saver downloads on BlackDog from your web site.  Again, just put the link to this web page, please.  In addition to cutting off BlackDog's income, when you do that it ties up our server, slows everything down, and makes BlackDog very unhappy.  (BlackDog changes the names of things frequently to make sure people don't do it, too.)
  4. Kids - Always get permission from your folks before downloading anything from the internet.
Thanks for being considerate.
