The yellow light playing on your wise and weathered faces,
I think of all the times it changed in all the different places.
When you held Helen’s hand your face was a laughing picture,

In the picture on the wall you are looking far away,
So I cannot see your face, but if I could you would be gay.
When I sat on your lap and you told me of the past,
Your expression changed to solitude at the very last.
So when I think about you there sitting by the fire,
The picture on the wall will show you that you’re not to tire.
Yellow light plays on a face that has walked down many roads,
Sleeping by the fire, the eternal fire and the forever road
